Reboot & Refresh (The Friend Treatment)

I'm pretty sure that the only decent way to reboot and refresh yourself is to: spend time with your favourit-est people, eat good food with them, spend time playing scrabble with them wander around bookshops excitedly with them and visit the theatre for murder with them.

I'm really lucky to have friends who love to partake in this sort of activity with me, and make me laugh so hard I think my stomach is going to explode.  Also, as much as it annoys them, they let me photograph every waking second (and only moan a little bit).  They're perfect xoxo

Wonderwoolin'

Today I went to Wonderwool, which is essentially a wool festival/shopping extravaganza.  It was fun to see how huuuuge an industry and culture surrounds all things wollen and woolly.  My favourite part was meeting an alpaca I really wanted to take home with me!  He was lovely (photo below).  The friend I went with is a much better and expert knitter/crocheter than I am (by a long way!), but I have really enjoyed learning the basics, and want to improve (dramatically) this year.  I have some really pretty yarn to experiment with, so I should get moving with that.

Anyway, this event is ideal for anyone with a crafty interest in all things knitting, crochet, felting, sheepy, spinning, buttons and everything in between.  Personally, I also enjoyed the brownies and perry I purchased.  But that's just the kind of person I am.  Brownies and Ralph's perry make me happy.

Any of you out there yarn lovers?!

Hope your weekend is going swimmingly.

This is actually a woven wool coffin

I don't know what this is...which is why I photographed it without a second thought.  Of course.

I wanted to take this cut guy home

This was massive in size.  Like, a good metre long.

Today's Print

More florals I'm afraid.  Actually no, I love the florals!

I pretty much haven't taken this dress off since it arrived.  It's so perfect for this weather!

Improvements

During my weekend away last week, I took the time to take lots of photos and used the opportunity to play with various aperture and shutter speed settings, and get all manual!

I took lots of photos of the cathedral, and enjoyed my manual successes, but got really annoyed and frustrated when it all went wrong!

My photography is definitely improving, but I have a loooong way to go.  I'm excited that I have some non-scenery opportunities to practice and experiment with coming up!

I hope your weekend has been lovely.  Mine has been another of constant laughter and ridiculousness with friends.  I don't think there's anything better (especially after a challenging work week.)

xoxo
