A Stirring Song

This week's stirring song is....You and Me by Penny and the Quarters, a complete gem from the Blue Valentine soundtrack.  I guess they're somewhat of a 'lost' soul band (which is so sad) but this unreleased demo is such treat anyway.  It is also insanely well used on the aforementioned soundtrack, and I urge you to check it out!

I'm pining after yesterday's slow whilst drinking lovely calming tea!

History in the Snow...

Today my friend and I visited St Ffagan to see hear the South Wales Gay Man's Chorus sing and hear a talk.  It was an interesting way to mix it up and have a different sort of Saturday!  It was also SNOWING which meant the grounds were going to look beyond spectacular, and I was really excited to  see everything covered in a pristine white blanket.  It certainly didn't disappoint.  So Beautiful!

Please excuse the crappy photo quality, as these are from my iphone (I didn't fancy risking taking my DSLR and maybe falling!)

Magical woods!

We papped this robin.  He kept posing, and let us get up really close to take photos.  He also followed us as we tried to walk away.  Clearly wanted to be photographed!  Poser!

Birdprints!

Frozen leeks?!

I had such a lovely day, which was topped off with sweet potato fries, goat cheese salad and rum fudge!
Yum!

On That Note...

In light of my last post, I thought I'd post a snap of the slightly inappropriate footwear I did wear for today's snowy adventures (where my friend and I papped a really attention seeking robin.  It was weird...)

So, here's the inappropriate footwear...PINK BROGUES!

hope it's snowy where you are, and that you get to enjoy it!
