Tremor

A week ago I travelled to London to see one of my favourite bands play at the Cargo.  It was incredible.  The Olivia Tremor Control haven't played in the UK since 2005, so I HAD to be there to witness what could be my last chance to see them live in a while!

I came away feeling elated and inspired, and they're such cool and friendly guys.  I really liked the venue too.  Such a good atmosphere!

A Stirring Song

This week I have mostly been listening to..........

Hideaway by the Olivia Tremor Control, from their Black Foliage album.

This song is very, very, very special to me.  It inspired a painting series I've made and I hold the lyrics as close to my heart as you possibly could.  I'll let you listen so that you can see (or should that be hear?!) what I mean.  This song is the only way to end a (very challenging) year, and to enter a (hopeful and positive) year.  My greatest fear is fear itself, and this song makes me want to eradicate this feeling.  

I can't wait to see The Olivia Tremor Control in March (postponed from November) and will be beyond crossing my fingers that this track is on the set list.

Talented talented people.  One of my favourite bands of all time, ever, in the world, full stop.

I saw this little cartoon on the web earlier this year, and promptly made desktop!  I'd definitely love to be in the Olivia Tremor Control!
