I want to share these photos of La Sagrada Familia with you, but I have absolutely zero energy and can't string a decent sentence together for this post. However, I will say this; this is a spectacular place, and I was struck by just how unexpected the interior is in comparison to the outside. It was a proper 'woah' moment (I actually said it out loud when I walked in.)
I have one anecdote to share about this visit (even with my lack of energy). It's generally accepted that when you visit La Sagrada Familia you will need to queue for a substantial amount of time. Fact. My friend and I were geared up for this, but were leaving it until we had good weather, to be honest. We were on the bus, on our way to Parc Guell, when we passed La Sagrada Familia (it's on the route) we were shocked to find that there was absolutely NO queue. We were both baffled and shocked! So we 'hopped off' the bus to investigate (I was convinced the queue was the other side of the street or something!) and were shocked to find that there really wasn't a queue. The situation was so much the opposite of the queue, one of the ticket booth ladies was beckoning me on to buy my ticket. It was as if she was bored or something. We were totally surprised, and very, very pleased!
In my mind, we're the only two people to never need to queue for the La Sagrada Familia! Ha!
Considering I had not energy to write a post, that was quite a few sentences...
Happy Tuesday!xoxo
