This past Friday, my bestie and I planned a seaside day, but were greeted by annoying and constant drizzle. In my opinion, the worst sort of rain. So after cutting our planned walk much shorter we had our unseasonal ice cream sundaes (both of us had the marshmallow sundae, so delish!) we changed route and went to the new(ish) museum. As it was later in the afternoon it was pretty quiet, and I therefore didn't feel too awkward wapping out my camera for some overtly geeky photo-taking!
I love a good reflection shot!
Pretty tins (apart from the John Smiths. That's more uggers)
Gold!!
Bricks. Yes, I said it. Bricks. But I really liked this bit! Particularly as 'Penwyllt' literally translates to 'Wildhead.' Tee hee.
The prettiest slate I ever did see. This could make me into a fossil geek I'm sure.
Making electricity with wind!
Photos from one of my local tin plate works 1957.
How amazing is this as a mode of transport?!
Toot toot!
Learning about transport links.
I love cogs. I know that sounds weird, but there's something really cool about cogs! So there!
Obligatory dress/shoe shot.
I've just inherited a vintage family sewing machine, and this one is just as purdy.
I'd love to give these patterns a go!
My home village has a famous choir. Both my dad and uncle are in that photo! There's also footage of the choir performing in another part of the museum.
One of my faves. Ever.
The sky looks so pretty.
excuse the photo heavy post!
loves, gwynypie
xoxo
