I'm not one for modern things. I love antiques and second-hand goodies. As a history geek (my degree is in history) I love the thought of someone else having loved something before it became mine. I like to imagine there's a story behind everything. We live in such a consumerist world, where the focus is on buying new and throwing away. I think this is such a shame. There aren't
that many places where I live to buy antiques or to source some inexpensive second-hand lovelies, and I tend to hunt online for things. There is one place I love, and spent a day hunting for treasures there with my friend not so long ago. Here are some photos of the afternoon.
Please excuse some of the wonky photography. The place was particularly quiet and my DSLR kinda loud, and I felt a bit embarrassed to be snapping away!
The only natural way to end the afternoon (according to my friend and I anyhow) was with some yummy drinks and nachos. Nom nom.
